Who we are

The Westerville Parks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with the City of Westerville Parks & Recreation Department to enhance, protect, and expand access to parks, trails, recreation programs, and public art throughout our community. Founded in 2000, the Foundation raises and manages private funds that support projects beyond what tax dollars alone can provide—helping ensure Westerville remains a vibrant, healthy, and welcoming place for current and future generations.

Working alongside a volunteer Board of community leaders and city representatives, the Foundation invests in initiatives that maintain and improve parks and trails, beautify public spaces through art, and remove financial barriers to recreation through its WestervilleHelps Financial Assistance program. From supporting the 51-mile Westerville B&W trail system to funding memorial benches, Bark Park, public sculptures, and scholarships for Community Center access, the Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening quality of life across Westerville.
